Doubleback
This morning Back To The Future 3 was on and this song was on at the end credits. I have always liked ZZ Top. I guess when it comes to music you don't get much more masculine than these 3. I remember seeing them in London before the videos of 3 of the songs from Eliminator really took off.
The Old American West has always fascinated me. Actually the film and the song got me thinking about horses again. Really I am just waiting to get out again and I've got to leave my nails alone. I've managed to protect them apart from chipping one thumb. They are at the longest they've ever been, but hopefully not that noticeable. I've been keeping my hands in my pockets a lot. Maybe I should have put 'Garbage' 'I Think I'm Paranoid' up instead.
I guess it would better if I stopped putting up mad posts on this blog and just relaxed.
Time to stop babbling.

The Fool
Perhaps I am starting to lose it, but this has bugged me for years, but I decided to find out more about the Tarot.
I've always loved the pictures in some of the decks I have seen.
It seems they first appeared in Italy in the 15th century and were used as playing cards. When it comes to telling fortunes and such like I very much doubt they can be used for that.
Some people use them to find out more about themselves. Using their reactions to the pictures in combination with the different meanings to each card.
The Fool is the first card in the Major Arcana. He is setting out on a journey with his dog jumping at his leg. He has his belongings slung from a staff and looks like he is about to walk over a cliff.
It reminds me of when I decided to take a leap and go to Manchester just over 2 years ago and meet a Tgirl, Lisa, and her friends.I had only had contact with her via a forum.
I was going to go out presenting as female in broad daylight meeting complete strangers. I guess I was like The Fool setting out on a journey that I needed to make for various reasons with very little idea what I was doing but hoping to learn.
The cliff I went over wasn't very high, but felt like a giant leap at the time.
I met some wonderful people. One of who, Kate is a very good friend that along with her wife I am looking forward to seeing again soon. After that journey I wasn't completely The Fool anymore.
I guess I will always be The Fool to an extent and that is not a bad thing. It just means there is always something new for me to learn and that includes about myself.
One other thing the dog at The Fool's leg is trying to hold him back, but at the same time urging him on. I guess it's like the inner voice arguing.
I suppose that's the beginning of a journey through the deck to look at myself which is just another tool that can be used for the purpose. It has made me look at my gender issues, female and male aspects. In the end I know the only person who can answer my questions is myself, but that takes learning as much as possible about myself.
Perhaps with this post I've leaped of another cliff. Now to see where I land.
