Looking Forward

YouTube - live - Sparkle - The Distance To Here

Just be reading through the blogs of my friends who went to Sparkle which I sadly missed this year. I was glad to see in the main everyone had a good time. Couldn't resist the song above by the American band Live.
For me now I'm looking forward to getting out again. Next month is a possibility, but if not a few days in September should be possible all being well.
I have found really stressful situations do temporarily affect me, but in saying that last time out when I went shopping although nervous it wasn't a problem and I got back to enjoying being out and about. Hopefully I'll be able to spread my wings a bit more.

Drab Drink

I met up with another T-girl recently for a chat and a drink. We were just a couple of blokes out for a pint, but the topic of conversation in the main was not about male orientated subjects.
She is out to her wife and has been outside a couple of times, but not to the extent that I have been. I'm not boasting, it just really struck me how far I've came in a year and the wonderful people I've met and the friends I've made.
She asked me quite a bit about Manchester Concord, Sparkle etc. Her wife is worried about her going out in case she gets recognised. Apart from that she is ok with her dressing.
I told her the chances of being recognised are very small. I've seen people in both aspects and the change in appearance is so different it is hard to relate the two.
I got the impression that she is seriously thinking about going to a MC meeting sometime. I told her about the Northern Angels meals which Lisa runs and are a fantastic way to meet some of the girls if you are a bit nervous.
It really struck me how important the weekly MC meetings are and the Canal St area is for a lot of tgirls being able to get outside and spread their wings. The same goes for Sparkle which in my opinion is a fantastic celebration.
We chatted for a couple of hours. The dark shadow that hangs over me came up and made me realise even more I have to get my act together and stay as fit and healthy as possible to stave off the final purge. That maybe a bit over dramatic, but it has been in my thoughts a lot lately. It's something I may have to face. Anyway theres no point getting depressed. What will be will be.
It was a great way to spend the afternoon, but roll on next time out.
