I've just finished Sophie Kinsella's book 'Can You Keep a Secret'. To be honest it's not the type of book I ever thought I would find myself reading. I really enjoyed it and found myself wishing I was back in my twenties again. There were times I had tears in my eyes and other times unable to stop myself bursting out laughing. At one point I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time which is a strange feeling for me.
I know the book is aimed at female readers and I could at some points identify with the main character, Emma, which did lead to some confusing feelings which I am not going to try attempt to go into here.
I liked it so much I am reading another of her books at the moment which I am enjoying as well.

This all stems from watching the film based on her Shopaholic series of books which I will no doubt end up reading as well.

Dreaming
I may be on the verge of better things or it could get a lot worse only time will tell.
In the last couple of months I've taken an interest in my dreams again. The last time was after my wife passed away. I've always had an interest in Lucid Dreaming but never managed to achieve one where I realise I am dreaming and take control. I have had some vivid ones that jolted me awake. I had another one last night.
My wallet was floating between me and a woman who looked very much like me when I am out. She told me that she would swap two handbags she had for the wallet that actually looked empty.
The handbags looked quite heavy and I wanted to look inside them, but couldn't open them. I didn't care about the wallet. She kept asking the same question with a smile, but for some reason we couldn't make the swap. I woke up and wrote the dream down in my journal.
The one thing is I've felt good all morning. Maybe I am losing it, but I might as well try and make use of that third of my life sleeping and see where it takes me.

Shopping
Just watched the romantic comdy, Confessions of a Shopaholic based on the novel by Sophie Kinsella. I know some people have a problem with uncontrolable spending and that is no laughing matter. I do speak from exprience. In saying that I did enjoy the film.
I am not and never have been a shopaholic. The strange thing is I could identify, to an extent, with the heroine Becky. Her description of being out shopping and how a store makes her feel also her closet and the amount of clothes shoes, handbags etc made me smile.
At some point I will get round to a clear out of mine, but I can't seem to bring myself to do it.
It's just as well I don't get out to often. I dread to think how much abuse my credit card would get.
I think I might have a look at Sophie Kinsella's books. The film has certainly got my interest
