Working Things Out

I was wanting to go out next Wednesday to the Manchester Concord meeting, unfortunately I have to give it a miss. With everything that has happened recently I am trying to catch up. I am trying to honor commitments I made before my eye went funny and the diagnosis. I really don't like letting people down. I am getting on top of things. Once I've taken care of everything, I am going to have to look at what is really important and not spread myself to thin so to speak.
Maybe I am about to become more selfish, but I love getting out and seeing my friends and that has become really important to me. I want to build as many memories as possible in case the worst happens. The other stuff which I do on a voluntary basis I think will have to take a back seat or be dropped altogether.
I have no one, who, how I decide to proceed affects in any meaningful way.
This post probably does not make much sense. It's just me trying to work things out.
To finish anyone going to Sparkle have a wonderful time. I really wish I was going, but it's not to be this year.

Lucky

3 pictures of Canal Street. This is how the world looked recently when I closed my left eye.
The first one is normal. The second is when it was at it's worst. The third how it looks now.
Hopefully it will get back to the first, but that could take a year or maybe it will stay like the third.
I feel very lucky that both eyes weren't attacked and that it is healing.
I have read of people losing sight in both eyes which must be frightening. One was bad enough. Repeated relapses can eventually wreck your sight. This is known as Optic Neuritis. A very scary side of MS.
For me I am using this blog to face up to what can happen. It's been over a couple of months now and I feel very lucky. It's changed my view on some things and I am looking at changing some bad habits.
There are people out there are a lot worse than me. I feel I've got a chance to have a good life with what is left of it. Staying positive is a must and giving it my best shot.
Take care all
