I spent 2 weeks out not so long ago in Manchester which took in Pride. I started after a week to forget who I actually am. When it was all over I hit a very deep low. I'm in the process writing about my adventures on the sister blog to this one.
I was told that at Pride I wouldn't see many Tgirls in the Gay Village. One thing I found was a lot of people wanted to say hello and speak to me when I was by myself. The longer I was in The Village people started to recognise me and seemed genuinely pleased to see me. I found Manchester Pride an amazing event and I got to see Toyah which was a bonus.
The low really hurt, but I am glad I went.
My friends, old and new were fantastic and I can't thank them enough.
