The Beast by Paul Jones

The Beast by Paul Jones

I've been searching the net for more information on MS frightening myself half to death at times and also finding a lot of positive stuff.
It all comes back to the same things. There is no cure, but life go's on. What is going to happen? Who knows? Who can say? It could get very bad. It could never reappear or something in between those two.
I walked outside of the hospital after it had been explained to me, the same person as I entered. No medication to take just more information about myself and some decisions to make.
I know who I am. At my core I'm male/female, I'm trans-gendered it the best description I can find. It's caused me problems in my life, but on the other side it's been a source of great strength inside and around me.
I'm a few things that define me,but this won't be one of them.
This blog and the other one will not have endless posts about MS and me feeling sorry for myself. I've been up and down like a yo-yo,but I feel things are beginning to settle.
I wanted to put this up with the link to the poem. The last verse really struck me, well the whole thing did. It really is worth a read.
Now lets get on with LIVING LIFE TO THE FULL.

Life Changes

I've wondered about doing this and since talking to 2 really good friends. Thank you Kate and Diana, speaking to you both has really helped. As well thank you Mrs Kate, Debbie and Chrisse for your comments on the last post.
Ok I'll do this. I've been told I have Multiple Sclerosis.
First , you all probably know this, I cannot pass it on, you cannot catch it from me.
So anybody who knows me you are safe enough. Sorry I had to make this clear because a lot of people don't know much about it.
What does it mean for me? The short answer is nobody knows. It could have little or no impact on my life, or it could have a severe impact.
My eye problem is due to an attack so to speak, but is healing and should hopefully get back to normal or very near it.
This post is not about me looking for sympathy or me feeling sorry for myself.
This is just where I decided to get this of my chest. I thought about the Angels Forum, but decided against it. I've decided to say something here, because the people who follow this blog and the other one, some I've met and they've become good friends, others I haven't but I've been able to read your blogs.
You all have one thing in common. You've overcome challenges in your life and continue to do so and in the last year you have helped me overcome fears and some challenges of my own. My confidence level has been boosted to heights I never thought possible.
Maybe it's fate or something, but if I had been told this even a couple of years ago, I probably would said thats it, I'm screwed. I have so enjoyed being able to get out in the last year I'm not going to give up what I have gained because of this.
I'm fit and healthy and I will fight to stay that way.
What I want to say is THANK YOU to everyone who has made themselves known to me here and on the other one which has allowed me an insight into your lives and the things you have overcome. It has helped me in the past and will in the future.
I'll finish with what I was told at the hospital-
Live in the present' don't worry to much about the future. Tomorrow you could get run over by a bus. Who knows?

Completely Stupid

Spent the last 3 weeks worried about how things are going to go with my eye. Hopefully I'll find out whats wrong tomorrow. I have also been thinking a lot about the last year. The amazing times I've had and the wonderful people I've met. We all have fears, for me it's losing the friends I've made who accept me for who I am. Thankfully it seems to be improving and I'm hoping that it should be ok.
Maybe this was a stupid thing to do but I decided to see if I could still do my make up with one good eye. Doing my eye make up was a challenge and I think I sort of managed it. Stupid things I do, but I was careful not to stab myself in the eye.
Actually the make up lesson I had last year really came back to me.
The picture shows the result. I thought I'd record it as another first of sorts for me.Please don't laugh to much. Then again maybe I did better not being able to see properly.
You can tell I'm bored. I'll have to stop being silly.
